WestRock breaks ground on $47 million expansion in Claremont

Catawba County and Claremont leaders join WestRock Company officials for a ceremonial groundbreaking of the company’s $47 million expansion on Wednesday. ROBERT C. REED, RECORD

A paper and packaging manufacturer in Claremont held a ceremonial groundbreaking for a $47 million expansion.

WestRock Company plans to expand its manufacturing plant by 285,000 square feet. The project is expected to create 50 new jobs by the end of 2023, according to a news release from WestRock.
